Moroccan food origins
It has been said by many food experts that traditional Moroccan cuisine is one of the most varied types of cuisines in the world. The intermingling of Moroccan culture with other countries is the reason why our food is representative of so many cultures. One will typically find a potpourri of various cultures like Arab, Moorish, Berber, Mediterranean, Iberian, Middle Eastern, African and many others.
The spices used in the cuisine is reflective of a mix of all these cultures. The structure of typical Moroccan fare is very critical to the culture of Morocco. Ironically, the cuisines which belonged to the Middle East during the 12 century have been forgotten in the Middle Eastern countries but very much intrinsic to Moroccan cuisine. Typical Moroccan fare is comprised of the cooking of meat with fruits and spices. Also, most of the Moroccan dishes contain an assortment of dry fruits and a rich gravy which is characteristic of this cuisine.
At Marrakesh Café we are passionate about preserving the authenticity of Moroccan cuisine. We give detailed attention to maintin tradition in the way spices are used, the order of course dishes and the way they are presented. Exotic spices such as mint, saffron and olives are all native to Morocco and used as staples spices in our succelent and savory dishes.

Our extremely cozy interiors featuring cream and mustard colored walls, arched doorways, comfortable seating, and the traditional yet tranquil paintings and will make you feel right at home! The upstairs room is even more opulent adorned with bright gold and crimson colored fabrics as a backdrop. This room is perfect for any celebration with your friends and family!
